Terms of Service

Last updated: November 3, 2026

CalFix is an app and service operated by MTLabz LLP, a limited liability partnership registered in India ("we", "us", "our"). These terms govern your use of the CalFix app and calfix.app and form an agreement between you and MTLabz LLP when accepted as required by law. "CalFix" refers to the app and service. Read these terms before use. If you do not agree, do not use the service. Contact: support@calfix.app.

1. Using CalFix

CalFix provides food logging, AI food analysis, calorie and macro estimates, meal suggestions and weight tracking for personal, non-commercial use. Core features are free; no subscription is required for those features. Device and connectivity costs are your responsibility. Supported devices and technical requirements are described in the app-store listing.

You must be at least 18 years old to register for or use the CalFix app and be legally able to enter into these terms in your jurisdiction. Anyone under 18 is not eligible, even with a parent's or guardian's permission. Provide accurate age information and do not bypass eligibility checks.

2. Accounts and acceptable use

Provide accurate account information, keep your login secure and tell us about suspected unauthorized access. You are not automatically responsible for activity beyond your reasonable control.

Do not upload unlawful content or content that infringes another person's rights, impersonate others, access accounts without permission, distribute malware, disrupt the service, or bypass security or reasonable usage limits. These restrictions do not remove rights that applicable law gives you, including lawful interoperability or security research.

3. Data storage, logs and external processing

CalFix processes the information you submit and may store account details, food and meal logs, photos, weight entries and related records to provide and maintain the service. We may also retain technical, diagnostic and security logs to troubleshoot errors, detect abuse, protect accounts and meet legal obligations. MTLabz LLP and its service providers may access relevant records where needed for these purposes, subject to applicable data-protection requirements.

Some features use external service providers, including hosting, food databases and AI or large language model (LLM) providers. When you use those features, the inputs needed for the requested function, such as food photos, meal descriptions or prompts, may be sent to and processed by those providers.

Records are retained only for as long as necessary for the relevant purposes, subject to applicable law. Submitted content may contain personal information; avoid including other people's details or unrelated sensitive information. The Privacy Policy explains data handling, retention, international processing and deletion rights. Accepting these terms is not blanket consent to personal-data processing.

4. Nutrition information and health

CalFix helps you track meals and plan everyday food choices around your goals. It combines AI-assisted tools, publicly available nutrition information and published methods such as the Mifflin–St Jeor equation for resting energy estimates. The meal planner also provides WHO, US dietary-guideline and NHS references.

Food analysis, nutrition values, portion estimates, calorie targets and meal plans offer practical guidance. Estimates can vary with ingredients, preparation and portion sizes, and some entries or suggestions may need adjustment. Reviewing your logs and product labels helps keep tracking relevant to your needs. Individual progress and results vary.

CalFix supports general wellbeing and is not a medical service. For diagnosis, treatment, medication or insulin dosing, and allergy safety, rely on qualified medical advice and verified product information rather than app estimates. Seek professional guidance for medical dietary needs, pregnancy, breastfeeding or a history of eating disorders, and never delay recommended care because of app guidance.

5. Your content and our intellectual property

You retain ownership of your submissions. You give MTLabz LLP a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, reproduce and process them only to provide, secure, maintain and improve the service as described in the Privacy Policy. It lasts only while the content is lawfully retained for those purposes; it does not transfer ownership or override data-protection rights. Submit only content you have the right to share.

MTLabz LLP and its licensors retain rights in the app, branding and other service materials. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the service personally under these terms and applicable law.

6. Privacy and your choices

Personal-data processing is governed by applicable law and explained in the Privacy Policy, including retention, security, international processing and deletion. Depending on the law and circumstances, you may have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to processing, obtain a portable copy, withdraw consent and complain to a data-protection authority. Contact support@calfix.app.

Accepting these terms does not waive those rights or constitute consent to advertising, AI training or processing health data. Where separate consent or explicit consent is legally required, it must be requested separately. Withdrawal does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal.

7. Third-party services and app stores

CalFix relies on hosting, AI and food-data providers. Independent sites and app stores have their own terms. Their involvement does not remove MTLabz LLP's responsibilities under applicable law, including for service providers processing data on our behalf.

Apple and Google are not parties to these terms. App-store rules also apply to downloads. Any separate app-store transaction is governed by the information and terms shown before confirmation and applicable cancellation and refund rights; these terms do not waive those rights.

8. Updates and service changes

We may make proportionate changes for security, legal compliance, compatibility or improvements to functionality. We will provide updates required by law. Beyond changes necessary to maintain conformity, any change must have a valid reason stated here and must not impose an additional charge.

We will explain material changes in advance. Where required, we will notify you on a durable medium, such as email, including the timing, impact and your options. If an EU/EEA change adversely affects access or use more than minimally, applicable law may let you terminate free of charge within 30 days of notice or the change, whichever is later, unless a conforming unchanged version remains available without extra cost.

9. Ending use and deleting your account

You may stop using CalFix at any time and request account deletion through the app or the Delete Account page. Uninstalling the app alone does not delete a server-held account. Deletion and any lawful retention are explained in the Privacy Policy. Where applicable, you can request return of your content in accordance with statutory rights.

We may restrict or end access for a material breach, unlawful activity or a serious security risk. Where reasonably possible, we will explain why and give you a chance to correct the issue or challenge the decision at support@calfix.app. Urgent protective action may be immediate. Ending access does not remove accrued rights or mandatory remedies.

10. EU/EEA and other consumer rights

Mandatory protections in your country remain in force. For EU/EEA consumers, applicable digital-content and digital-service laws can provide rights to supply, conformity, necessary updates, correction of defects and, where available, termination, price reduction or reimbursement. These can apply to qualifying services supplied without payment.

Where a statutory withdrawal right applies, you generally have 14 days from concluding the contract, subject to legal exceptions and extensions. Simply accepting these terms does not waive that right. To withdraw, send a clear statement to support@calfix.app, for example: "I withdraw from my CalFix contract concluded on [date], account email [email], name [name], notice date [date]." No particular wording is required. Any legally required consent to early performance or acknowledgement of loss of withdrawal rights must be obtained separately.

11. Responsibility and limits of liability

You are responsible for your own dietary, exercise and other decisions, for providing accurate inputs, and for checking estimates and product labels before acting. Seek qualified professional advice when appropriate. CalFix supplies information and estimates; it does not make decisions for you or guarantee results.

To the extent permitted by law, MTLabz LLP, as the operator of CalFix, is not liable for loss caused solely by your misuse of the service, knowingly false inputs, or disregard of clear safety warnings or qualified medical advice, where we did not cause or contribute to the loss through a breach of these terms, negligence or other wrongdoing.

We will provide the service with the care and skill required by law. Subject to mandatory law, we are responsible for reasonably foreseeable loss caused by our breach of these terms or failure to use reasonable care. To the extent permitted by law, we exclude losses that were not reasonably foreseeable and business losses arising from personal use of the service.

We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation, exact nutrition results or a particular health outcome. These limitations do not exclude statutory guarantees or remedies. Nothing limits liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, gross negligence, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including applicable data-protection compensation rights. There is no blanket exclusion of liability merely because core features are free.

12. Disputes and applicable law

Please contact support@calfix.app about complaints; doing so is not a condition of exercising your legal rights. Applicable law and competent courts are determined by the rules that legally apply to your situation. These terms do not impose exclusive foreign courts, mandatory arbitration or a waiver of collective remedies. EU/EEA consumers retain any right to bring proceedings in their country of residence and to seek help from competent consumer or data-protection authorities.

13. Changes to these terms and interpretation

We may revise these terms for changes in law, security or the service. We will identify the effective date and give reasonable advance notice of material revisions, on a durable medium where required. We will obtain agreement where the law requires it; posting a revision alone does not replace required consent. You can stop using the service if you disagree, without losing accrued rights.

Translations are provided to make the terms accessible. No language version overrides mandatory local law or any interpretation in a consumer's favour required by law. If a provision is unenforceable, the remainder applies only to the extent lawful. These terms do not reduce your rights under the Privacy Policy or applicable law.
